Refund policy
TRACK EVENT ENTRIES
Cancellation 30 or more days before the event: Full entry value issued as track credit, minus a $50 processing fee. Credit valid 12 months from cancellation request date.
Cancellation 14 to 29 days before the event: 50% of entry value issued as track credit. Valid 12 months from cancellation request date.
Cancellation less than 14 days before the event or no-show: No refund or credit.
ENTRY TRANSFERS
Transfer of an event entry to another driver requires a $15 processing fee and must be requested at least 24 hours before the first day of the event weekend. Transfer requests within 24 hours of the event start will not be accepted. Transfers are completed via the Event Entry Transfer page at lightspeedtrackevents.com under the Info tab.
WAITLIST
By joining a waitlist you authorize LightSpeed to charge your payment method automatically upon clearance, without additional notice. All standard cancellation tiers above apply from the moment your registration is confirmed.
MULTI-DAY EVENTS — MECHANICAL FAILURE & VEHICLE BREAKDOWN
Partial refunds and single-day credits are not available for multi-day event registrations. LightSpeed does not bear financial responsibility for the mechanical reliability of participant vehicles. Registration fees cover event access, track time, staffing, coaching availability, and operational infrastructure — not a guarantee of seat time or vehicle performance. If your vehicle cannot continue due to mechanical failure, off-track incident, or any other vehicle condition, no refund or credit will be issued for unused days or sessions. LightSpeed strongly encourages all participants to complete the pre-event Tech Inspection Form available under the Info tab at lightspeedtrackevents.com before arriving at the track.
DISCRETIONARY EMERGENCY EXCEPTION
LightSpeed may at its sole discretion issue a one-time track credit for a documented personal emergency such as a serious medical event or immediate family bereavement. This is not an entitlement, is not guaranteed, and must be requested in writing within 7 days of the missed event with supporting documentation. Mechanical failure, vehicle damage, and preparation-related issues do not qualify.
ADD-ON ITEMS
No refunds or credits are issued for add-on items including garage rental, helmet rental, Time Trial entry, transponder rental, and coaching sessions. Exceptions may be made solely at LightSpeed's discretion in the case of a verified duplicate charge or LightSpeed processing error.
EVENT CANCELLATION BY LIGHTSPEED
LightSpeed reserves the right to cancel any event due to unforeseen circumstances including weather, track authority decisions, permit issues, or safety concerns. In the event of a LightSpeed-initiated cancellation, registered participants will receive a full track credit equal to their entry fee, valid for 12 months from the cancellation date. Cash refunds are not issued for LightSpeed-initiated cancellations. LightSpeed is not responsible for incidental costs including travel, lodging, vehicle transport, or preparation expenses.
TRACK CREDITS
Track credits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and tied to the original purchaser's account. Expiration terms are noted at the time of issuance.
MERCHANDISE & APPAREL
Return or refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of confirmed delivery. Items must be unused and in original packaging. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.
CUSTOM & MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCTS
Custom and made-to-order products including number cards and custom decals are non-refundable.
GENERAL
LightSpeed reserves the right to remove any participant from an event for safety, conduct, or vehicle condition concerns without refund. Submission of a registration constitutes full acceptance of this policy in full.
